After the success of Michelin-starred Murano in Mayfair, Angela Hartnett is all set for her second opening, Café Murano. Russell Sage Studios are accountable for the design of the interior: expect large mirrors, a light oak and white marble bar running through the length of the restaurant and warm wood flooring and furniture throughout. With a focus on the cuisine of Northern Italy, the food and drinks menu find inspiration in the the area's different regions. A 100-bin, exclusively Italian wine list has been put together by Marc-Andrea Levy, Head Sommelier at Murano, whilst Café Murano also serves a selection of classic Italian cocktails alongside a more bespoke collection of mixed drinks.
Pasta features heavily on the menu, with main courses coming in at just under £20 a piece. To follow dishes such as the Roasted Monkfish Tail, Brown Shrimps and Golden Raisins, or the Gnocci with Sauteed Ceps, Parsley and Garlic is the daily changing ice cream menu, showcasing homemade flavours such as fig, Moscato, amaretto and pistachio. Guests can enjoy two courses for £18.50, or three for £22.50. Suitably sophisticated and undeniably delicious, Café Murano is a charming bar and restaurant in an enviable West London location, perfect for a spot of supper with friends, treating that special someone, or even for a couple of cocktails after work.
