Boisdale of Mayfair would like to invite you to to join them on Tuesday, 6th November for an evening with Murray McDavid.
Pioneering Scotch whisky bottler Murray McDavid was established in 1994 by London wine merchants Mark Reynier, Simon Coughlin and Springbank Distillery’s Gordon Wright. They quickly gained a reputation for maturing whisky in interesting casks, especially fine wine casks. In 2000, the Murray McDavid team set about reopening the closed Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay, engaging the services of Jim McEwan, Islay’s most celebrated Master Distiller.
Join us for an evening with William Humphery of the Murray McDavid Whisky Creations Team and Joe Boxall, Group Bars Manager for Boisdale who will be taking us through The Art of Maturation with a selection of six fine drams.
The tastings for the evening include:
Mission Gold – Presenting the prestige collection of vintage, rare and exceptional single malt whiskies.
Benchmark – The heart of the range, offering outstanding, mature single malts, showcasing The Art of Maturation.
Mystery Malt – Specially selected single malts to puzzle and entertain the curious whisky buff.
Select Grain – Single grain whiskies, artfully matured to bring out the character of this lighter and sweeter spirit.
The Vatting – The marrying of quality single malts to produce whiskies that are well balanced and full of personality.
Crafted Blend – Single malt and single grain whiskies married together in The Art of Blending programme. An insight into how good blended Scotch really can be.
