You'll find this Memphis-inspired BBQ restaurant and bar on Bankside, close to Southwark Bridge and within comfortable strolling distance of London Bridge station. It's the second venture from husband and wife duo Simon and Joy Brigg after Porky's Camden, specialising in hearty American BBQ treats and unique bourbon-infused cocktails.
They're serious about their Memphis links at Porky's, which goes a long way to explaining the selection of portraits of famous Memphis musicians and the infectious blues, country and rock'n'roll soundtrack that fills the room. Guests can expect an indulgent spread of meaty ribs, wholesome burgers and succulent pulled pork; cooked via the specially imported smokers and stewing in their natural juices for that extra dose of tenderness. A compelling choice of cocktails, whiskeys and craft beers are also served from the striking bar area, and guests are welcome to enjoy a cold drink at the bar before sitting down for dinner.
One for the BBQ-aficionados among us, Porky's builds on the successes of its sister venue to give the thriving Bankside scene an authentic taste of the deep south.
