Mark's Bar is all about serving seasonal cocktails that showcase British drink producers in all their splendour. A basement bar set below the latest Hixter restaurant, this relaxing space will host private dinners and parties for up to 100 revellers. All sounds very mature - but there's also room for the younger generation too - with kids under the age of ten eating free every day between 4 and 6pm.

Having honed their skills at sites in Soho and the City, all eyes are on the Hixter guys as they shore up south of the river for the first time. True to form, this latest basement bar looks just lovely. Naturally it's the perfect spot to enjoy some post-dinner cocktails, but there's also plenty of scope for heading down much earlier to make a dent on their tasty set menu list with a group of mates. Comfortable, stylish and serving up their award-winning cocktails until 1.30am, Bankside is all the richer for the arrival of this discerning drinking den.
