With their simple ethos of good craft beer and delicious pizza, it's no wonder that Tank and Paddle has proved a roaring success in Mincing Lane. Now, the City has got another place to enjoy their delicious wares as the venue has opened a second spot in Bishopsgate. The sister restaurant has space for 120 after-workers and unlike the first site, is open over the weekend; look out for their Sunday deal of two beers and a pizza for £12. Spread over two floors, there is a shuffle board on the top floor along with a selection of board games.
What we say:
Sat in prime position for commuters and the after-work crowds, Tank and Paddle Bishopsgate looks like it will be just as popular as the first site. The new restaurant follows much the same formula as the original, with stone-baked, stretch pizza and craft beer mainly coming from Meantime, the award-winning brewery in Greenwich. Other goodies include mac 'n' cheese as well as special guest sessions which will introduce East London to craft beers from small producers from around the world.
