What they say:

Situated beside the water's edge, the latest member of the Proud Group is a beautiful cafe, restaurant, cocktail bar and versatile events space close to Haggerston station. The venue has been designed with 1960s Asia in mind and aims to combine "the glorious design of late 17th century London coffeehouses" with the "atmosphere of a buzzing east London hotspot." It's open for brunch treats nice and early, hosting everything from wine-tasting to high-tea as well as dinner and drinks as the day unfolds.

What we say:

Replacing a firm east end favourite in the former Proud Archivist, this looks like a serene new spot for some coffee shop lounging. The riverside terrace will offer the best seats in the house, especially on movie nights when the venue will show classic movies on their HD projector. Variety is king for Proud East, and they're promising to deliver the goods whether you're coming for brunch, cocktails or looking to host a canalside private party; with room for parties of up to 350 (plus 100 on the terrace).
