What they say:
Proof is the latest addition to Hackney's growing nightlife. Located at the top of the Hothouse building on the edge of London Fields, it wonderfully links the bustling city below to the endless, blue skies above. As part of a wider Hackney-based project Playground and Proof that's simultaneously opening a fashion, arts and food market called Playground, Proof is definitely intended to transform the area. Its roof terrace is the bar's most valued asset. From here, guests are treated to stunning views overlooking the East London skyline and will have the chance to try some of the newest and most peculiar cocktails and creations delivered by London's finest mixologists. To kick things off, Mezcal specialists Quiuiriqui will be presenting a selection of cocktails, all of which are made up of fresh ingredients from Oaxaca in Mexico, while the Five Points Brewery will be bringing along their collection of unpasteurized, unfiltered beers for guests to enjoy. Soak up the sun after a long day at work, and unwind in this serene, starlit Hackney spot.
What we say:
Rooftop bars are certainly not a new phenomenon in a metropolitan city like London. Most of them will have stunning views of the city's skyline and most will be beautifully decked out. That said, they're definitely still a treat and offer a fantastic way to relax with friends or that someone special on the weekends. What separates Proof from the rest is its intriguing drinks list. The entire bar has a progressive feel to it, and by showcasing a huge array of cocktails and beers delivered by the city's newest vendors, it opens the door for loads of small, blossoming businesses.
