House of Tippler are excited to announce our first ever Afrobeat night! Celebrating the sounds of West Africa we are joined by ‘The Sufferhedz’ a collaboration band made up of members from the Soothsayers and The Fontanelles.
As well as a fantastic band joining us DJ Gerry Lyseight (Mambista) will be spinning the Afro-Groove to keep the party going. We will also have a special West African inspired Cocktail Menu too keep you dancing all night long!

Ayo Salawu is an amazing young drummer from Nigeria via The Bahamas, Emmanuel Afram is from Ghana and has worked with many African acts including Osibisa and Hugh Masakela, Nitin Sawney, Laurence Corns, Robin Hopcraft shared the Musical Director job for the Musical Fela!
Gerry Lyseight (Mambista)
Gerry Lyseight is a legendary selector with an ear for the dance floor! He famously founded the Mambo in back in 1989 and continues to curate music festivals and produce global music bands of the highest calibre. We look forward to hearing his selection of African, Funk, Soul, Swing music on the 13th.

A word from the chef:
Pretty Tapas started in July 2014 as a pop up on North Cross Rd in East Dulwich. We serve a great varieties of small plates / tapas. All our goods are locally supplied - Meat from William Rose - Fish from Moxons - veggies from SMBS - cheese and charcuterie from Cheese Block and Arte Iberico for our Spanish goodies. Our chef, Maya, as trained as a pastry chef at Oblix restaurant in the Shard. She is now full time in charge of the kitchen of House of Tippler.
