Joins us at BOTTLES as we meet Giovanni Val Del Prete and taste through a range of his wines along side some stunning Italian tapas by SOOD Kitchen.
We will begin with an introduction to the Roero (Area in Piedmont, Italy) wine growing region with a glass of bubbles, followed by a wine tasting with Giovanni himself, tasting:
- 2017 Roero Arneis Bizzarro
- 2015 Vigna di Lino Nebbiolo
- 2013 Roero Riserva
Each wine will be accompanied by selected cheese, charcuterie and other delights.
Cascina Val Del Prete located in the Roero just north of Barolo are doing something pretty unique and special. Biodynamic cultivation and regular experimentation with the wine making process; all underpinned by the long standing and exceptional vineyards which surround the cantina.
Mario Roagna has employed organic practises since 1995 and Val Del Prete was certified organic in 2013. Mario does not care much for DOCG conventions and technicalities, preferring to adhere to generations of family winemaking tradition. Mario’s son Giovanni, on the other hand, enjoys experimenting with new ideas and winemaking techniques. These two styles fuse together at Cascina Val Del Prete to create unique self-declared “hippy wines” - pure reflections of the Roagna family and their vineyards

5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.

7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
