What they say:

Situated in the Alphabeta Building with sister restaurant location The Modern Pantry, The Alpha Beta Bar is bringing creative cocktails and delicious small dishes to Finsbury Square in London. Hosted within the beautiful Georgian building, the venue features an 18-seater, U-shaped bar designed for patrons to soak up the theatre of cocktail making. With cocktails taking centre stage, the drinks are designed to compliment the smaller dishes, which all take inspiration from across the globe.

What we say:

Alpha Beta Bar sure has some pedigree behind it: the chef hails from the perpetually delicious The Modern Pantry while the mixologist designing the drinks menu is Mr Lyan, of White Lyan fame. The drinks menu focuses on inventive cocktails made from in-house-made spirits and other concoctions crafted from lesser-known spirits. Their names are appealing enough to live up to the hype, with titles like ‘Firecracker Fizz’ made of whisky, lemon, apricot and chilli sherbet ‘fluffed with soda’; or the equally intriguing Sgroppino G&T with distilled cream gin, strawberry and cardamom Sorbet blitzed with grapefruit tonic. And with dishes sugar-cured prawn omelette with smoked chilli sambal, the venue easily turn into an after-work staple.
