What they say:

Gremio de Brixton offers a taste of Spain in the heart of Brixton. Another addition to the many Spanish bars in London, but with some unique twists coming in the form of its quirky location and late night entertainment. The bar serves tapas and Spanish wines and beers in a dimly lit and intimate crypt under St Matthews Church. Running until 2am on certain nights, the bar is a great choice for a different, chilled night out. The arches, candlelit tables, and mismatched furniture makes the perfect atmosphere for an intimate, informal dining experience.

What we say:

When you've settled yourself in this underground candle-lit bar, expect to feel very clued up as a tapas bar would be the last thing expected to be lurking beneath St Matthews Church. There's already a few great Brixton bars for tapas, however the late night licence, unique location and calendar of entertainment will definitely help to separate Gremio de Brixton out from the rest. Go for an evening filled with everything Spanish, from the food to the music to the drinks.
