Thursdays at Ninety One Living Room are presented by Jazz Re:freshed. This Thursday, we are delighted to welcome artist, producer and musician Zola Marcelle to the Living Room stage.

About the artist

The intergalactic young jazz-influenced singer Zola Marcelle will be returning to the stage with indeed a fresh blend of sounds and sonics for jazz:refreshed this September. As the originator of the unique set up of simply bass & vocals, Zola will be armed additionally with some percs and synths ready to explore a whole new creative field! Expect a style that seamlessly flows from jazz harmony with the energy of a soul singer all rolled up into eclectic music and electrifying performance!
Zola’s two EP’s: ‘A Peaceful War’ (co-written and produced by Aron Kyne) comes with complex vocals, heavy beats and virtuosic synths. Her second, a completely different sound and idea: ‘Done. Undone. Redo’ is the introduction to her bass & vocals as the whole EP consists of those 2 instruments with her collaborators Arthur O’Hara, Geo Jordan, Hunrosa and Nathan ‘Bassicks’ Bossoh. This received the nod from musical peers and critics at its time of release in August 2020.
Zola will be releasing her new work ‘BECOMING’ towards the end of the year which features some incredible, critically acclaimed musicians and continues to explore where bass & vocals could go.

    Dining is a casual affair at Ninety One; drop in for a drink and order something at the bar, or book a more intimate table in the open plan dining area for a meal over a few hours. For larger groups we also have a private dining space seating up to 18 guests which comes with a personalised sound system and self-serve drinks fridge.

4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
