Thursdays at Ninety One Living Room are presented by Jazz Re:freshed. This Thursday, we are delighted to welcome artist, producer and musician Myele Manzana to the Living Room stage.
About the artist
Myele Manzanza is a drummer and composer who has rightfully earned himself a reputation as a visionary musician who is not afraid to experiment. Born in New Zealand to a Congolese master percussionist, and currently residing in London, Manzanza was raised listening to hip hop, jazz and dance music all of which strongly inform his current practice.
As a drummer and a sideman Manzanza regularly tours and collaborates with a broad range of artists across multiple genres including Theo Parrish, Mark de Clive-Lowe, Amp Fiddler, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Jordan Rakei, Ross McHenry, The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Ria Hall, Marcus Strickland, Recloose and Sorceress among countless others.
Myele Manzanza is very excited to announce the release of his next project: Crisis & Opportunity Vol.1 – London. on Dropping April 2nd 2021 on London-based label DeepMatter Records. The first of a 5-part series of works that have been composed during the 2020 Covid 19 lockdown, ‘Crisis & Opportunity’ was born out of the necessity for Myele to direct his creative energy in a productive direction and maintain his growth as an artist.
Weaving his unique blend of forward thinking genre bending jazz, broken beat, electronica and world music, Manzanza drives his band forward through a set of original compositions inspired by the city of London that he now calls home.

If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
