A New Luxury Chinese Restaurant Is Opening In Cains Brewery

Lu Ban Bar and Restaurant

Opens

Venue Closed

Lu Ban is looking to shake up the Liverpool food scene, and with a £2.2M budget and an iconic location to boot, we reckon this place has a pretty good chance of doing exactly that.

Located in the Baltic Triangle’s Cains Brewery Village, Lu Ban will specialise in regional Chinese cuisines, with a focus on recipes and cooking techniques from the Tianjin region. Whilst lots of details are still very much under wraps, we do know that the menu will be made up of small plates, tasting menus and ‘Tianjin banquets’ - your standard Sunday night in front of the TV Chinese, this is not.

In terms of interiors, expect elements of Chinese art and culture with subtle nods to the industrial heritage of the brewery. Think low lighting, rich wood and antique mirrors along with a stunning bronze feature wall. In other words, the stuff date night dreams are made of.

While we still don’t have an official open date, work on the venue has already begun and the team are hoping to be up and running by autumn.

Keep your eyes peeled and chopsticks sharpened!
