Dine with your doggie at Liverpool's first dog restaurant

Get your paws on canine-themed treats at Liverpool's first dog bistro.

If the thought of having to leave your precious furbaby when you eat out is too much to bear, then you'll be happy to know that Liverpool finally has a restaurant for dogs. More than a simple dog-friendly restaurant, Pups and Cups Bistro will specifically cater for humans and their four-legged friends. Founders Andrew Cain and James Steele, from Huyton, came up with the niche idea because they struggled to find places to take their French Bulldogs. The Prescot Road venue will have a gated garden, kitted out with special dog sofas where they can chow down on special doggy treats and play with other pets. Expect a stripped back interior with floral accents and a spacious garden for dogs to eat and play.

Whether you have two legs or four, this cute cafe and restaurant in Old Swan could be your new favourite spot. Pups can enjoy pupcakes, bones and meals in their own dishes, while owners can tuck into breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can keep it casual with cakes and coffees topped with special paw-print latte art, while dogs can dig into lovingly made bones like the carrot and peanut butter special. The dog-friendly aspect is not the only unique quality of Pups and Cups, as the bistro will also host barista training, work experience and skills workshops for those in the hospitality industry.
