Glasgow is home to around 160,000 students, so you can bet the nightlife is a force to be reckoned with. From funky themed bars on Bath Street to cheap cocktails in the West End, there are numerous student bars to keep you young'uns watered. Just make sure the library and essays come first... ah, never mind, who are we kidding?

Rum Bongo

For students and sports fans looking for a laid-back spot to catch the game in Glasgow, Rum Bongo is the place to be. This Caribbean-inspired bar on Byres Road offers a vibrant, tropical atmosphere combined with a variety of games, from pool and darts to an arcade machine.

You can enjoy a strong cocktail or two while watching your favourite football, rugby, or boxing match. With tasty food like jerk chicken and the Big Kahuna burger on the menu, Rum Bongo serves up more than just the action on the screen.

Walkabout Glasgow

This party bar near Sauchiehall Street is inspired by Australia, decorated in surfboards and graffiti. They boast huge screens showing all the big sporting events, as well as a tasty menu of burgers and small plates. But once day turns to night, expect fantastic DJ sets and a lively atmosphere on the dancefloor, as this place keeps the tunes going until 3am on Saturdays.
