What they say:

The much-loved Mexican eatery Topolabamba has opened a sister restaurant on St Vincent Street. Opened only a few doors down and on the old site of Irish pub Failte, Chaakoo Bombay Cafe is based on the cafes that opened in India by Iranian immigrants. The cafe is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as serving cocktails inspired by flavours of the Middle East.

What we say:

We're always happy to hear about another Indian restaurant opening up in central Glasgow, but the news that it's the next venture by the team behind Topolabamba makes it all the more exciting. Eschewing American-style Tex Mex for the authentic flavour of Mexico, the Topolabamba team focus on a genuine taste of Central America, a quality that has been repeated at Chaakoo Bombay Cafe, their new opening. the added twist is that the Indian restaurant is actual based on the Iranian cafes found in India at the end of the 19th century.
