Packing its menu with French winners, such as French onion soup with croutons and gruyère (£4.95) and chicken breast with mushrooms, cream sauce and crushed new potatoes (£10.95), the food is both simple and reasonably price. Lovely stuff.

Bringing a touch of Parisian ambience to the area, Azur Bistro proves you don't have to reinvent the wheel to create a great restaurant. Nor do you have to charge extortionate prices! Doing what it says on the tin, Azur Bistro is just a damned pleasant place for a leisurely hang out. Brilliant for intimate dinners, catching up with friends or bigger gatherings, this place is a sure fire bet for any occasion.
