The Ark is definitely one of the more popular student pubs in Glasgow. Located just a few minutes away from Strathclyde University, this place is always full of students meeting up for lunch between lectures or a quick drink (or three) at the end of the day. The Ark is known for it's huge beer garden, which makes it the ideal place to relax in the sunshine at the end of a stressful exam period.
Following a complete revamp a couple of years ago, Dram! (yes, with the exclamation mark) has been transformed from a slightly dingy pub to a bright and airy watering hole. Friendly staff on hand to serving up pub grub and beer, there's free wi-fi for the study conscious students out there, and it's only a few minutes away from Glasgow University. And it has a really cool name too, making it a very memorable student pub in Glasgow.
The Brass Monkey, with its Argyle Street location and reasonable prices have made it a favourite with students. There's plenty of alcohol on offer, including 30 different types of gin - who says students have to settle for dodgy, own brand spirits? Head to this student pub in Glasgow with some mates and grab a seat outside and watch the world go by.
It may not look like it from the outside, but head downstairs and you'll find the Brunswick Cellars is actually a student hotspot in Glasgow's City Centre. This pub plays good music, but not at deafening levels and the service is laid-back, without being lazy. Sounds like an ideal Glasgow pub for students who are looking for a hassle-free, alternative hangout.
Driftwood is a student staple pub with drinks as cheap as 89p. Yikes. That's almost cheaper than a bottle of water. What do they put in them? This pub is loud and always rammed with students due to its location - a hop, skip and a jump away from the Garage and the rest of Sauchiehall Street's favourite student clubs. If you're a student, you'll almost definitely end up at this pub simply because Driftwood makes it very easy to get merry on a fiver.
A popular destination with beer loving students, Inn Deep specialises in all kinds of quality draughts, bottles and kegs. Not a huge fan of beer? You can still hang out in the outdoor seating area, which right next to the River Kelvin, and watch the day go by. Inn Deep is only a 10 minute walk from Glasgow University, making it a great student pub in Glasgow to chill out in after a busy week in the books.
Hidden amongst the trendy West End bars and clubs, The Belle is a lovely, homely pub on Great Western Road with a truly welcoming atmosphere. Located just down the road from Glasgow University, The Belle is perfectly placed for students. Coffees start from 99p during the day and there's free wifi if you want to chill out and lay off the booze. This pub gets very busy during weekends and evenings though, so make sure you're there early to save a seat. A seriously cool and charming student pub in Glasgow.
