Dance Music Clubs in Glasgow

Glasgow is known for its dance music scene, with world renowned producers (such as Warp Records' Hudson Mohawke and Rustie and Numbers' founder, Jackmaster) and record labels (like Soma Records and LuckyMe) putting the city on the map. Of course, the top class clubs and venues have played a big part too. If you've got an amazing sound system and a blinding atmosphere, you don't need much else. Here's our picks of some of the best dance music clubs in Glasgow but be warned, they're not for people who are afraid to get a bit sweaty...

Sorry, the places listed below don't have online bookings available, but we hope you still find this list useful for your night out!

Sub Club

Does this place need an introduction? Sub Club has been around for 26 years and seems to get better with age. Their flagship event, Subculture, has been running for 19 years, making it the longest running weekly house/techno club night in the world. Sub Club may attract the world's best DJs, but they're also known for promoting up-and-coming Glasgow based producers and have an impressive weekly schedule that covers all the bases of dance music.

The Berkeley Suite

It may not be around as long as some of the other dance music clubs in Glasgow but the Berkeley Suite have already built up a faithful following on the Glasgow club scene. They offer monthly club nights featuring Glasgow's own talent - look out for "Horse Meat Disco" (there's no actual horse meat involved, thankfully) and Supermax, their flagship club night.

SWG3

SWG3 is not strictly a dance music only venue, but they do host DJs and club nights on a regular basis. After all, it is a warehouse, (and we all know about those infamous warehouse raves) so it makes for one of the coolest dance music clubs in Glasgow. Keep an eye on their event listings to make sure you don't miss out on any stomping sessions.
