Rooftop Bars in Glasgow
Okay so there aren't very many rooftop bars in Glasgow, but as rooftop bars go, the ones we have are pretty dang glamorous. Glasgow may not be famous for its skyline, but it does boast some stunning architecture, some of which can only be appreciated from above. There's nothing quite like sitting on a rooftop terrace on a sunny day, so we're hoping we can inspire more Glasgow bars to look up when it comes to their beer gardens and outside space.
The 29 Private Member's Club boasts the most exclusive rooftop bar in Glasgow. The Moet & Chandon Roof Terrace at the private Glasgow club is seriously chic. Access to the stylish outdoor is restricted to members only (and seriously, it might be worth purchasing membership just to hang out here) but the Merchant City terrace is also a prime location to host events, with a marquee and slip-resistant faux grass flooring making the roof terrace an all-weather option.
Ubiquitous Chip wanted a rooftop bar in Glasgow so badly, they knocked through the roof. The rooftop terrace in the Ashton Lane bar and restaurant, is a popular spot to sit, even in the depths of winter. Set high up above the courtyard of the beautiful West End bar, nestled in among the higgledy piggledy of neighbouring rooftops, this chilled out space is a sunny haven with a light breeze on a summer's day in Glasgow.
