Join us in the heart of Edinburgh as the walls of St John The Evangelist Church, on Princes Street, resound to the music of Vivaldi, Corelli and Mozart, played by Fenella Humphreys, Warren Mailley-Smith and the Piccadilly Sinfonietta. This special matinee performance, has been arranged because the evening performance at St Giles' has sold out in advance.
When the going gets tough in the run-up to Christmas and you've had about as much seasonal music as you can take, with choirs in every available church and hall, step off Prince’s Street in Central Edinburgh into one of Edinburgh’s most beautiful churches, St John The Evangelist Church. This is just the place to put down your last-minute Christmas shopping, gather your thoughts, and renew your emotional energy.
The Piccadilly Sinfonietta is one of the UK’s most exciting young ensembles and performs a selection of well-loved classics including the seasonal 'Christmas Concerto' by Corelli and Vivaldi’s exquisite 'The Four Seasons'.
The concert features breathtaking feats of virtuosity from violinist sensation Fenella Humphreys and the virtuoso concert pianist Warren Mailley-Smith in a performance of Mozart’s sublime Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major.
This award-winning concert pianist has performed many times for the British Royal Family as well as with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and recently became the first British pianist to perform Chopin’s complete solo piano works from memory. An exceptional talent and a self-deprecating sense of humour, combined with his formidable technical skill and mature musicality, makes him a favourite with audiences and venue staff alike. Classic FM described him as 'Stunning'.

3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
