Get ready for seasonal fare and natural wine at this waterside spot.

Your summer plans? They’re sorted, mate. Nook By The River, a unique pop-up restaurant in Cardiff, is back for 2023 after a sell-out success last year. Led by Canton cult-favourite Nook, which has garnered critical acclaim (including from the Michelin Guide) for its scrumptious small plates, this outdoor dining experience promises to be as popular as ever.

The three-week foodie foray will be setting up shop in the stunning surrounds of Llandaff Rowing Club, right on the banks of the River Taff. While admiring the views of the water, surrounded by luscious greenery and under a pretty canvas canopy, tuck into a lineup of locally sourced, seasonal dishes. Previously, the eatery served plates such as torched mackerel accompanied by horseradish cream, heritage tomatoes and rocket, so we expect something equally delicious to follow. And, of course, you'll be able to pair your feast with a tipple from the extensive selection of natural wines that the restaurant is so famous for.

You can find Nook By The River from the 12th of July to the 6th of August at Llandaff Rowing Club, Bridge Road, Cardiff, CF5 2PT. For more alfresco eats, check out our guide to outdoor dining in Cardiff here and sign up to our future newsletter.
