Craving Indian food? Keep korma and curry on as we give you the latest on Bristol’s new Indian restaurant. Boasting a casual atmosphere, a pretty painted mural of trees and crystal quartz candles as centerpieces, Namak is the perfect place for everything from cosy date nights to family dinners. And why is that? The venue is dishing up fabulous cuisine thanks to chef and owner Harris Massey. The brain behind Chinese and Indian gem Rock Salt, he has also previously worked for the likes of national chains like Dishoom in London.

So what’s chef whipping up? Kick off your meals with aesthetically-pleasing starters such as tumeric deep-fried tiger prawns and grilled scallops or toasted okra tossed in ginger. We've also heard the Amritsari Tawa Keema is a real winner; it's a layer of small naan covered in garam masala lamb mince and topped with vibrant pickled onions.

For your mains, you can choose from a tonne of fragrant curries or tandoori marinated salmon, and pair your meals with a wide variety of wine, prosecco or spirits. Done polishing off your plates? Treat yourself to sweet delights, from chocolate samosas to traditional saffron-infused Indian milk dumplings. After all, you dessert the best.
