Prepare for a taste of Latin America because Robert Ortiz is opening Chakana in Moseley. The city's first restaurant dedicated entirely to Peruvian cooking, the Alcester Road spot is set to feature traditional dishes and stripped back interiors. Ortiz - Lima London's culinary director - has a wealth of experience under his belt; including stints at the capital's Landmark Hotel, Canary Wharf's Four Seasons and a critical role in securing Lima's Michelin star when he was head chef.

Located in the space which formerly housed a bank, Chakana takes its name from the Inca Cross. Interiors will be laid back, with Peruvian weavings and decor inspired by the symbol's earthy elements. On the food front, expect classic Peruvian dishes with a twist; from sea bream ceviche to beef pachamanca. Wash it all down with beer, wine and, of course, Pisco.
