Sitting on Birmingham's Constitutional Hill, Hen and Chicken is a new Indian restaurant that serves authentic Indian dishes in a chilled out, British gastro pub atmosphere. The food menu features recipes that are found across the Subcontinent, including the likes of Punjabi tharka dahl, chilli paneer and fiery rogan josh curry. But at the same time, guests can enjoy all the aspects of a traditional British pub, complete with live sport on the TVs, real ales from local breweries and a warm, welcoming environment.
What we say:
It's a classic night out that we all enjoy everyone once in a while; a fiery Indian meal followed by a trip to our local watering hole for a pint, or four. Coupling the two under one roof and celebrating Brit-Asian culture in the process, the Hen and Chicken hopes to make waves in Birmingham's foodie scene. From the look of things, we're expecting a laid back, charming spot that, regardless of how you arrive, will leave you waddling on your way home with a beaming grin.
