TIMES: 1-3PM SATURDAY 8TH APRIL 2023
During this free two-hour workshop, you will explore a new dramatic world you have never seen on stage before.
In the first half of this session, you will be guided through a series of scriptwriting prompts to write a short duologue from scratch, exploring a specific dramatic world or setting, and turning it into the beginnings of a new play.
In the second half of the workshop, we will work together to explore, discuss and present how we could stage these scripts and concepts theatrically.
This workshop is open to writers, directors, theatre-makers, and creatives of all stages and backgrounds. If you are uncomfortable sharing your work, there is no pressure. This is a fun opportunity for creatives to meet, be inspired by each other, and formulate new ideas to take into your creative practice.

This workshop is led by the writer of Trade, Ella Dorman-Gajic, and the director Maddy Corner. Trade is a 5-star, OffComm-Awarded stage play.
Ella Dorman-Gajic is a writer and performer, working across theatre, poetry, screen, and audio. Her writing has been described as “impassioned” by The Guardian. Her theatrical works have been staged at Omnibus Theatre, Drama Centre, The Arcola, Camden People’s Theatre, The Old Red Lion and Edinburgh Fringe. She’s been nominated for a number of playwriting awards, including the Theatre503 International Playwriting Award.
Maddy Corner is a director from South London. Current: SHE by Anthony Clark is touring the UK from 8 Feb - 12 Mar, it is in Birmingham at Midlands Art Centre on 16 Feb. The Interview by Eleanor Roberts is coming to The Blue Elephant, Camberwell on 17-18 Feb. Maddy trained at Drama Centre London and The BRIT School.

6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
