Following the acclaimed national tour of Flashbang, Proforca Theatre Company brings Being Brave to Birmingham for a single special performance at the Old Joint Stock Theatre.
Transferring directly from the company's home at the Lion & Unicorn Theatre in London, Being Brave is an evening of brand new short plays directed by David Brady, brought to life by an outstanding ensemble of performers in a showcase of exceptional contemporary acting and new writing.
Across a number of intimate stories, ordinary people find themselves caught in the tiny, impossible moments before a decision.

Over the course of the evening, audiences will journey through hospital corridors at 4am, a mother's kitchen in the middle of the night, a delayed railway platform, the top of a ten-metre diving board, a beach in Thailand, an Army office preparing to welcome home one of its own, and the quiet reflections of someone searching for just a little more from life.
Funny, heartbreaking and full of hope, these are stories about fear, family, grief, love, duty, survival and the quiet courage it takes to move one small step forward.
Presented by Proforca Theatre Company, one of London's leading independent new writing companies, Being Brave continues the company's commitment to producing bold, emotionally truthful theatre about ordinary people facing extraordinary moments.

2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
