The Führer's bunker, Berlin 1945, the air thick with betrayal. Hitler awaits the inevitable. Pip Utton, looking uncomfortably like the Führer, stands before a huge Nazi banner addressing his party faithful. He furnishes us with an acute anatomy of fascism; its ideological justifications; its poisoned utopias. We are in the presence of a compelling idealist, helplessly drawn in to his warped logic. Hitler is finished, his crusade defeated. We know how the story ends….. But Utton has reserved a sting for his tale...a sting so powerful it forces us to look within ourselves, questioning our own prejudices and intolerance.

One of the most extraordinary, successful and powerful solo works ever presented. It is live theatre at its best and that touches us all; powerful, challenging, divisive and illustrative. ‘Adolf’ is utterly provocative and totally necessary; everyone should experience it.

Pip Utton is internationally recognised as one of the foremost writers and performers of solo theatre. He has performed his work in more than 30 countries, garnering rave reviews and awards around the world, recently honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to world theatre from the Turkish ministry of culture and the publication of a book celebrating his work.

‘A tour de force’ The Stage
‘Terrifying, searing, transfixing’ The Scotsman
‘ Will leave you gasping…so devastating’ Time Out
‘The master of the solo show’ The Guardian
‘Beneath Utton’s costume stands a national treasure’ Three Weeks
