Luckily, Birmingham's finest bars, pubs and restaurants are coming to the rescue, now delivering their most popular booze to your door. Cocktail craving? Hankering for a half? Purecraft 

Purecraft has transformed from a classic Brummie boozer to a pop-up bottle shop in recent times. Satisfying those pangs for a frothy pint, their takeaway menu is jam-packed with cans of IPA, Pilsner and lagers, with single 500ml bottles starting at just £1.95. Open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday afternoon, it’s the perfect pitstop on the way home from your weekly shop.

Loki Wine 

City centre-based wine bar Loki have been busy bees indeed during lockdown. Pivoting their services entirely, they’re now offering remote sommelier consultations (sort of like the NHS's 111 but for wine) as well as virtual tasting events and same-day delivery on all their bottles within the Birmingham area. Head to their online shop to browse over 600 wines, ranging in price from £8.99 to £299.

Arch 13 

Keen for thirsty Brummies not to miss out on any of their top-notch bottles, Arch 13 have launched a shiny new at-home service, delivering wine, cheese and Champagne directly to your door. Promising to seriously upgrade your weekend plans, their online range of packages start at £20 and go all the way up to £175 for a gift-wrapped bottle of Taittinger Comtes de Champagne delivered alongside a mouthwatering cheese board - the perfect social-distancing-style present. 

The Vanguard 

The Vanguard is one of Birmingham’s quirkiest drinking holes. This teeny-tiny spot is hidden away in a loft in the centre of the Jewellery Quarter and serves some of the city’s most creative cocktails. And while they’ve sadly closed their doors recently, they're still offering their same unique tipples - just in bottle form. Boasting a weekly changing menu, all the libations here are priced at a fiver and stay fresh in your fridge for two weeks (if you can resist them that is).

The Paper Duck

Based in Harborne The Paper Duck is a craft beer bar and bottle shop specialising in all things local. Delivering their ice-cold cocktails and unique pints to the wider Birmingham area, this place has got a drinks menu to rival any, with caramel fudge stout, raspberry ripple cider and strawberry and elderflower ale all on offer. 

1000 Trades 

Bottled beer not quite hitting the spot? Head to 1000 Trades where they’re pouring pints that are available to take away in cups. The beer brands on offer include Fixed Wheel, Purity and Lost and Grounded amongst others, with natural wine on tap also available in 1-litre reusable bottles. Get yourself one of these candles while you sip away and you might as well be in your fave local.

BrewDog 

When in doubt? Stay safe in the knowledge that BrewDog has got your back. While the brand's nationwide bars may not be open for business, their website well and truly is. Head there to fill your boots with cans of craft beer, virtual quizzes, beer tasting events and more. They’re even selling their glassware to ensure you get that full BrewDog experience.

Dig Brew Co 

Digbeth’s coolest spot, Dig Brew Co is a contemporary taproom and pizzeria. Known to showcase some of Birmingham’s most creative hops, malt and yeast, these guys are bottling up their much sought-after concoctions and sending them off to the city’s thirsty beer-lovers. Available to buy singularly, or as a multipack bundle, these babies promise to banish any of the lockdown blues.

Sorting out your Friday nights for the foreseeable, Pint Shop have just launched a brand new at-home section to their site.
