Expect masterclasses, wine tastings and chocolate-filled screenings at the week-long food festival coming to Brum

Mailbox food festival Birmingham

A week-long food festival is taking place in Birmingham's Mailbox this August.

Time to put on your eating trousers and head over to the Mailbox as the spot celebrates one of the best things in life: food. For a whole week during August, restaurants, bloggers and pop-ups will be joining forces in Birmingham's iconic centre for a series of events. Kicking off on Monday 7th August, the festival will include masterclasses from renowned food blogger The Foodist, who will be teaching you how to prepare Asian-style seafood.

Harvey Nichols will also be hosting a hot line-up of events. Pop-up of the moment Wilderness will take over the kitchen for a special six-course meal and the iconic Gothic ice cream truck will make an appearance. The swish restaurant will also play host to a wine tasting led by Saturday Kitchen's resident wine expert Jane Parkinson. Along with an eating tour that takes in four different restaurants, there will also be a special screening of Chocolat starring Johnny Depp and Juliette Binoche with plenty of chocolate nibbles and prosecco.

The Mailbox's food festival will run from 7th - 13th August 2017 and will take place across several restaurants.
