Join us at Warren Street Hotel for an intimate evening with acclaimed author and attorney Belle Burden, celebrating her acclaimed debut memoir, Strangers. Belle will be joined in conversation by bestselling author and host and creator of the hit podcast Family Secrets, Dani Shapiro. The discussion will take place in the hotel’s light-filled Orangery, surrounded by vibrant interiors and contemporary art.

A poignant and deeply moving story, Strangers revisits the sudden end of Burden’s twenty-year marriage and the unexpected transformation that followed. Set against the backdrop of the early days of the pandemic, the book explores the complexities of love and identity, the ways family history shapes us, and what happens when the life we thought we knew is suddenly turned upside down. Together, Belle and Dani will explore the book’s themes of love, betrayal, identity, family, and the process of finding one’s voice.
Enjoy a welcome drink on arrival at the Orangery ahead of the conversation, which will begin promptly at 6:30pm, followed by an audience Q&A and a book signing with Belle. Books will be available to purchase on the evening via Rizzoli.
