Acclaimed Fitzrovia pub and restaurant The Lore of the Land is now on the lam.
Taking up our inaugural residency in a premium positiuon the banks of the River Thames for the regatta, the Lore team will be delivering an experience of indulgence.

We will be serving our range of Gritchie beers, premium wines, mixologist crafted cocktails and Lore of the Land – Head Chef – Ali Borer, will be serving Asado Lamb and other delicious plates. This is an event not to be missed.

1. ABOUT US

We are Lore On The Lam Limited, a private limited company registered in England and Wales with company number 11628286 with a registered office at 55 Loudoun Road, St John’s Wood, London, NW8 0DL (We, our, us).

2. ABOUT THESE TERMS

2.1 These are the terms and conditions (Ticket and Event Terms) on which we sell tickets for our Lore on the Lam event (Tickets) at Remenham Lane, Henley-On-Thames running from 29 June to 3 July 2022 (Event), allow admission to the Event, and provide the Event. You can find information about the Event and the different types of Ticket available on the other pages of this website, before you order.

2.2 If you buy a Ticket from us, you accept and agree to be bound by these Ticket and Event Terms, which cover the following areas:

3. OUR CONTRACT WITH YOU

3.1 We will email you (normally within two hours) after we receive your Ticket order to confirm we have accepted it, at which point a contract will be created between you and us for the sale and purchase of Tickets, on the terms of these Ticket and Event Terms.

3.2 Your obligations under these Ticket and Event Terms will end at the end of the Event day applicable to your Ticket.

4. PAYMENT – PRICES AND CHARGES

All Ticket prices on this website are inclusive of all applicable VAT, duties, and delivery charges.

5. PAYMENT – WHEN WE CHARGE YOU

We will charge you for the Tickets you order when we accept your order.

6. TICKETS – RIGHTS AND EXCLUSIONS

6.1 Each Ticket admits one person to the Event on the date and during the times stated on the Ticket.

6.2 Tickets will be scanned at the entry points to the Event and can only be used once. Make sure nobody else has access to your Ticket. Once scanned, a Ticket will be recorded as used and will not be accepted if presented again to gain admission to the Event. We are not liable for any loss, theft or unauthorised use of your Ticket.

6.3 Entry to certain areas within the Event may be reserved exclusively for the holders of Premium and/or VIP Tickets, and will not be accessible to holders of General Admission Tickets.

6.4 To help achieve a fair distribution of Tickets, there is a purchase limit of six Tickets per person. We reserve the right to cancel any Tickets you purchase above this limit, without any liability to you other than to refund the monies you have paid us for the Tickets we cancel for this reason.

6.5 We may substitute any food, drink or merchandise which is stated on this website as included with a Premium or VIP Ticket for a comparable item of similar value, and if we do this, it will not be considered a material change to the Event or your Ticket.

6.6 Other than any food, drink and merchandise which is stated on this website as included with a Premium or VIP Ticket, all food, drink, and merchandise available at the Event is sold separately.

6.7 All Tickets remain our property.

7. TICKETS – DELIVERY

7.1 Tickets will be issued electronically in the form of a barcode or QR code.

7.2 Your Ticket will be accessible from a link contained in our email to you confirming acceptance of your order.

7.3 If you order multiple Tickets, you will need to provide an individual email address for each Ticket in your order. We will send a separate email, each with a link to one Ticket, to the email addresses you give us at the same time as emailing you to confirm acceptance of you order.

7.4 You are responsible for ensuring all email addresses you have given us are correct. It may not be possible to reissue Tickets.

8. TICKETS – FUNCTIONALITY AND COMPATIBILITY

8.1 To access your Ticket, you will need an email account, an internet connection, and a device with a web browser, such as a smartphone or computer.

8.2 If you think there is something wrong with your Ticket or you are having technical difficulties in accessing it, please email our customer service team by clicking HERE.

8.3 Tickets can be presented for entry to the Event as a printout or on the screen of a smartphone.

8.4 If presenting your Ticket using a smartphone:

(a) we recommend saving your Ticket as screenshot on your device’s memory to avoid the risk of not being able to access it at the Event due to poor mobile signal; and

(b) you will not be entitled to enter the Event or receive any refund or compensation from us if we cannot scan your Ticket due to any problems with your device, including screen damage, corruption of data or software or hardware, or insufficient battery or mobile signal.

8.5 Please note you can only buy Tickets from us or an official ticket partner stated on this website. If you buy a purported ticket for the Event from anybody else then it may be invalid and not allow you admission to the Event.

9. TICKETS – NO RIGHT TO CANCEL AND RESTRICTION ON RE-SALES

9.1 After we accept your order, you will not benefit from a right to cancel your contract with us and your Tickets cannot be returned, exchanged or transferred, subject to clause 14.2 below.

9.2 You must not re-sell or offer to re-sell your Tickets. We reserve the right to cancel any Ticket which is re-sold or offered for re-sale. We may also cancel Tickets which are given away or offered to be given away alongside the sale of any other goods or services, or in connection with any competition, promotion or commercial activity, without our permission. If we exercise our cancellation rights under this clause 9.2, you will not be entitled to receive any refund or compensation from us, or to enter the Event using a cancelled Ticket.

10. EVENT – ENTRY REQUIREMENTS AND ADMISSION

10.1 You must be at least 21 years of age or older to be admitted to the Event.

10.2 You will need to present a valid Ticket at an entry point to the Event in order to gain admission to the Event. Please make sure your Ticket is valid for the day and time you attend the Event.

10.3 You cannot bring any of the following items into the Event:

(a) any weapon or fireworks, or any item which we reasonably consider may pose any risk, danger or nuisance to the Event or other people at the Event;

(b) any marketing, promotional or other item or material which we reasonably believe is intended for commercial or political purposes at the Event without our permission;

(c) any illegal substance or item, or any item which cannot legally be sold in the UK;

(d) any item which we reasonably believe is offensive or not appropriate for an event in the nature of the Event;

(e) any food or drink not purchased inside the Event, which (unless you can satisfy us is needed for medical purposes) you refuse to dispose of in accordance with our reasonable instructions;

(f) pets or animals; or

(g) deck chairs, parasols, bicycles, vehicles or bags larger than 45 cm x 30 cm x 20 cm.

10.4 On being admitted to the Event, we will give you a wristband that identifies the type and date of your Ticket. You must wear this wristband on your wrist at all times at the Event and to re-enter if you leave the Event during the course of the day. If you have a Premium or VIP Ticket, your wristband will give you access to certain areas within the Event reserved for Premium and/or VIP Ticket holders. Please do not remove your wristband until you leave the Event without the intention of returning. We will not replace any lost, damaged or stolen wristbands.

10.5 Unless otherwise stated on this website, admission on each day of the Event opens at 12.00 pm and the Event closes at 23.59 pm. You must leave the Event at or before this closure time.

10.6 You may be denied entry or ejected from the Event, without entitlement to any refund or compensation from us, if:

(a) you refuse a security search at the entry to the Event or you have any of the items listed in clause 10.3 above;

(b) you act in a manner that we reasonably believe causes or may cause a nuisance or a risk to the safety or security of the Event, yourself or others at the Event;

(c) you engage in conduct that is illegal or we reasonably consider is rude, aggressive, threatening, offensive or anti-social;

(d) you are not wearing a valid Event wristband on your wrist, for which purpose a wristband will not be considered valid if it is broken or we reasonably believe it has been tampered with;

(e) we reasonably believe you are under 21 years of age, and you fail to produce a valid photographic proof of identity showing you are aged 21 or over;

(f) you access or attempt to access any area within the Event that you are not authorised or permitted to enter;

(g) in our reasonable opinion, you do anything which affects or may affect adversely the running or integrity of the Event or the enjoyment of others at the Event;

(h) you fail to comply with any health and safety or other instructions given or required at the Event;

(i) you cause any damage to, or interfere with, any fixtures, equipment, signage or structures at the Event or any other person’s property; or

(j) otherwise provided for elsewhere in these Ticket and Event Terms.

11. EVENT – PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMING

Please note that we may film and/or photograph at the Event. By attending the Event, you consent to being filmed and photographed, and you allow us to use and allow others to use your voice and likeness in the resulting footage and photographs in any and all media, worldwide, in perpetuity, without payment.

12. EVENT – HEALTH AND SAFETY

12.1 You must behave sensibly and follow all health and safety instructions at the Event so as not to hurt, injure, or otherwise endanger yourself or others.

12.2 COVID-19 can spread easily in crowded environments such as the Event and may cause serious illness in some people. In the absence of negligence or other breach of duty by us, attendance at the Event is entirely at your own risk of possible exposure to COVID-19.

12.3 We reserve the right not to serve you alcohol at the Event if you appear to us to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

13. EVENT – MUSIC AND THE HENLEY REGATTA

13.1 The music line-up for the Event is subject to change. If we do make any changes to the music line-up, this will not be considered a material change to the Event.

13.2 The Event site borders a towpath on a stretch of the River Thames which forms part of the Henley Royal Regatta course. Space in that area of the Event may be limited and is not guaranteed, and your view of the Regatta may be obstructed by others at the Event. You will not be entitled to any refund or compensation from us if you are unable to watch the Regatta at the Event.

13.3 The Event is entirely independent of the Henley Royal Regatta. The Event will not be affected by any cancellation, rescheduling, delay or change of or to the Regatta, and you will not be entitled to any refund or compensation from us if the Regatta is cancelled, rescheduled, delayed or changed.

14. EVENT – CANCELLATION, RESCHEDULING AND CHANGES

14.1 Unless we notify you otherwise, the Event will not be cancelled or rescheduled, and you will not be entitled to any refund or compensation from us, in the event of rain or bad weather at the Event.

14.2 in the case of a cancellation (other than pursuant to clause 9.2), we will refund the monies you have paid us for your affected Tickets in accordance with clause 14.3 and have no further liability to you; or

(a) in the case of a cancellation, we will refund the monies you have paid us for your affected Tickets in accordance with clause 14.3 and have no further liability to you; or

(b) in the case of a reschedule or material change, you may cancel the contract and receive a refund for your affected Tickets provided you notify our customer service team by email (click HERE) that you wish to exercise this right before any deadline we give you or (if none is given) then no later than 48 hours before the original Event date stated on your affected Tickets. Unless you cancel the contract in accordance with this clause 14.2(b), your affected Tickets will be valid for the Event as rescheduled or materially changed and you will not be entitled to receive any refund or compensation from us.

14.3 Any refund we need to make under these Ticket and Event Terms will be made by the same method you used for payment, and processed within 30 days of the cancellation of the Event, Ticket or contract, as applicable.

15. LIMITATIONS ON OUR LIABILITY – IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

15.1 Nothing in these Ticket and Event Terms excludes or limits our liability for any personal injury or death caused by our negligence or other breach of duty. The following clauses have effect subject to this clause 15.1.

15.2 Please look after your property and do not leave it unattended at the Event. In the absence of negligence or other breach of duty by us, we are not liable for any theft, damage, destruction or loss of your property or belongings.

15.3 To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable to you for any loss, damage, cost or expense, unless caused by our breach of a legal duty that we owe you or our obligations under these Ticket and Event Terms.

15.4 If we breach a legal duty that we owe you or any of our obligations under these Ticket and Event Terms, we will not be liable to you for any loss, damage, cost or expense:

(a) that was not reasonably foreseeable to both you and us on the date that we accept your order;

(b) that is not caused by our breach;

(c) caused by an event or circumstance outside of our reasonable control;

(d) to the extent you could have reasonably avoided, reduced or mitigated the loss, damage, cost or expense;

(e) in connection with any business, trade, craft or profession, including loss of profit, loss of sales, loss of business, loss of revenue, business interruption, loss of business opportunity, loss of goodwill or reputation, or any indirect or consequential loss or damage; or

(f) relating to travel or accommodation.

15.5 Our aggregate liability to you under or connection with our contract with you, these Ticket and Event Terms, your Tickets and the Event, will be limited to the amount you have paid us for Tickets.

16. HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

How we use any personal data you give us is set out in our Privacy Notice (click HERE to view).

17. HOW TO CONTACT US

17.2 If we have to contact you, we will usually do so by writing to you at the email address or postal address you give us in your order.

18. OTHER IMPORTANT TERMS

18.1 We can transfer our rights and obligations under these Ticket and Event Terms, so that a different organisation is responsible for delivering the Event provided that your rights under these Ticket and Event Terms are not affected. We will tell you in writing if we make such a transfer.

18.2 You may only transfer your rights or obligations under these Ticket and Event Terms to another person if we have agreed to that in writing.

18.3 If any provision or part-provision of these Ticket and Event Terms is or becomes unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, the rest will continue to apply and will remain valid and enforceable.

18.4 This contract is between you and us. Nobody else can enforce it and neither of us will need to ask anybody else to sign-off on ending or changing it.

18.5 Even if we delay in enforcing these Ticket and Event Terms, we can still enforce it later. We might not immediately chase you for not doing something or for doing something you’re not allowed to, but that doesn’t mean we cannot do it later.

18.6 These Ticket and Event terms and our contract with you are governed by English law.

18.7 The courts of England have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) in connection with these Ticket and Event Terms and our contract with you, except that if you are a consumer and a resident of Northern Ireland, Wales or Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in whichever of those countries you live in.
