Following the incredible success of previous Gala Balls and
online auctions, and the amazing £180,000 we raised in matched
fundraising last year, we’re gearing up for an even more
spectacular series of events this year, where we’ll be supporting
our UK Charity of the Year, YOUNG LIVES VS
CANCER.
This year's Gala Ball will be held on Friday 16 May 2025, at the beautiful Winstanley House in Leicester. You’ll be greeted at the door of this stunning grade II listed building with a welcome drink before walking through to the spectacular garden room for the drinks reception. After everyone has arrived, we'll move through to the event space where dinner will be served. You’ll enjoy your meal with some ambient music from one of our live performers! Once we have all had our fill, the evening’s entertainment will begin ….
We have secured Ministry of Soul, an award winning 9-piece band who will perform soul, Motown and disco floor-filling classics from the 60s to present which everyone knows and simply, will not be able to stay seated for. We’ll also have the big fundraising event of the night; The Prizes with Purpose live auction, hosted by our chief auctioneers, Chris and Jon. 8 to 10 items will be auctioned on the night to raise money for Young lives vs Cancer. Bring your bank cards and sign your budget off with any significant others.
Invite your friends, family over 18s, suppliers and partners for an evening of fun! Bronze giving tickets are reserved for junior Access employees only.
TRAVEL AND ACCOMODATION
We will arrange subsidized coach travel from requested locations across the UK where there are groups who wish to attend. To let us know if you are interested in securing subsidized travel with a group then please complete this form
There have also been 32 hotel rooms donated to the campaign this year. These are available to purchase at checkout when you purchase your ticket to the event, the price if your hotel room will go directly to Young Lives vs Cancer! The rooms are in the Premier Inn, which is a short distance from the venue - we'll provide coach travel for you at the end of the event. Rooms are twin rooms and do not include breakfast, however you will be able to purchase this at your own cost.
ABOUT THE CHARITY
Young Lives vs Cancer is the UK's leading cancer charity providing children, young people under 25 and their families with emotional, financial and practical support they so vitally need during their darkest days.
Funds raised through our partnership will directly benefit children, young people and families affected by childhood cancer. Our dedicated care support teams, stationed in every children's cancer hospital across the UK, provide essential face-to-face emotional and practical support from diagnosis onward. For families living far from specialist hospitals, our social care teams will arrange free accommodation at our 10 Homes from Home, near children’s hospitals.

1. The ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring prior, during or after the event. The ticket holder voluntarily agrees that the management, venue, event participants, DesignMyNight WFL Media Ltd and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employers are expressly released by the ticket holder from any claims arising from such causes.
2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
10. The venue may operate a No Smoking Policy.
11. The promoter, venue management and DesignMyNight accept no responsibility for any personal property.
12. The event listed on the purchased ticket is strictly for ticket holders who are over 18 years of age. Identification may be required.
