The allure of these evenings extends beyond the flavours of the menu, and we also invite you to indulge in the wisdom of an RHS curatorial expert who will give you a tour and a captivating talk about the garden.

Ticket price includes:

Welcome cocktail, 3-course dinner.

Tour and talk from RHS curatorial experts.

Friday 5 April - Cherry Blossom at Wisley.

Spring is heralded by the Welcome Landscape at Wisley, where over 150 cherry trees burst into blossom simultaneously – a real spectacle to behold! As a nod to the Japanese origins of flowering cherries, a Japanese menu can be looked forward to, after taking in the wider cherry blossom collection which features trees of different habits, colours and flowering times, scattered across the garden landscape.

Friday 26 April - Spring at Wisley

Wisley started as a woodland garden called Oakwood, in the late nineteenth century, and that same woodland garden exists today in the heart of the garden. Like many woodland gardens, it comes to the fore in spring, so enjoy a guided walk around this historic garden area and the equally beautiful Battleston Hill woodland garden, and see them both in full spring dress, adorned with magnolias, rhododendrons, late flowered camellias and many other delights.

Friday 17 May - All about roses

A rose inspired menu will be a perfect end for an evening spent exploring the rose garden in full bloom. The Wisley rose garden features mass plantings of roses, intermingled with clematis, herbaceous plants and flowering Chinese dogwood trees Cornus kousa var. chinensis. The garden walk will also explore some wider garden areas that showcase roses trained on arches, walls and even growing freely through trees.

Friday 28 June - Summer in the Pinetum and Howard's field

Howard’s Field and the adjacent Pinetum are some of the oldest parts of Wisley, and are home to some of Wisley’s most magnificent trees including the tallest tree in the garden a redwood at 39m and, as the landscape opens into Howard’s Field, the national collection of heathers can be found, and the grass borders, housing the main collection of ornamental grasses. Meet some magnificent trees and experience a menu with pine-smoked food to finish the night on a coniferous note!

Friday 26 July - Explore and eat the World Food Garden

2024 will see the World Food Garden at Wisley head into its third summer. Stroll through the herbs and edible flowers, observe many wall trained fruits, see old favourites alongside newer, experimental exotic crops and hear how the new garden has settled into its place on the Hillltop. Managed in a ‘no-dig’ and spray-free approach since its creation, the garden will contribute to tonight’s menu.

Friday 6 September - Palm trees and Pina Coladas

Wisley is often recorded as being a summer hotspot, with its old weather station recording the hottest temperatures in the country. These temperatures, coupled with the Wisley team’s love of exotic gardening, has enabled the Exotic Garden to flourish in recent years, so take a deep dive into the palm trees and bananas and hear how such a garden is created, navigated through the winter, and how many of the plants are hardier than you’d perhaps imagine.

Friday 27 September - Wisley's sustainable Autumn harvest

Enjoy an evening all about edible growing and explore the World Food Garden, Orchard, Vineyard and Fruit Garden with our expert team. Several years ago we switched off additional irrigation, and non-natural sprays in the Orchard, and the edible landscape is on an exciting journey, showcasing sustainable food production, but not at the expense of the environment and in the face of a changing climate – come and see how we are doing!

For those interested, a selection of wine will be available for purchase on the night.

We are happy to accommodate dietary requests - please let us know when booking if you are vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, or have any intolerances/allergies. If you are a group purchasing tickets separately, kindly email us in advance to let us know you would like to be seated together.

It was a fantastic night with an interesting and well informed tour round a small section of the garden. This was followed by a delicious three course dinner with wine and coffee i included. Taking the excellent quality into account I also felt it was good value for money.

The garden tour was excellent. The main course was an epic fail. Rather than a well cooked belly pork with crispy topping it was a barely cooked gloop of fat that absorbed all the gravy, so it resembled a jellyfish of fat on the plate. More details of what was from the gardens would be nice. Huge plates, minute portions.
