Osip

Description

Tucked away in the Somerset countryside, Osip is a small but ambitious restaurant that brings farm-to-table dining to life with quiet confidence and boasts a Michelin star, as well as a Michelin green star. Housed in a beautifully restored 300-year-old inn, the space is warm and minimal, with soft natural tones, rustic textures, and thoughtful design that lets the food and the setting do the talking.

At the heart of Osip is chef Merlin Labron-Johnson, whose Michelin-starred background meets a deep commitment to sustainability and local sourcing. The menu is a surprise tasting format that changes daily, built entirely around what’s fresh from their own farm and nearby producers. Expect dishes that are elegant but unfussy - like chilled tomato consommé with fig oil or just-picked vegetables treated with the respect they deserve.

With a handful of serene rooms above the dining space, guests can stay the night, explore the gardens, and enjoy a fireside drink after dinner.
