It’s fair to say that what Terry Farley doesn’t know about the cultural roots of dance music isn’t worth knowing, having been involved in such iconic acts Xpress 2, Roach Motel, Fire Island, labels Junior Boys Own, parties Faith and fanzines Boys Own. A DJ who can surprise, educate and entertain dance floors in equal measures, Terry brings a unique authenticity and energy wherever he plays and we can’t wait to hear him when he joins Jimpster on Friday 25th August for what will be one for the books!
Terry started out playing alongside two other young DJs, Pete Tong & Paul Oakenfold at London's Raid club, a party that did nights at iconic clubs such as The Wag/the 100 club. In 1988, when the Boys Own Fanzine which he helped create with Andrew Weatherall, cymon Eckel and Steve Mayse was caught up with the Acid House tidal wave, Terry found himself in demand across the country and indeed across Europe. Boys Own became a record label that morphed into Junior Boys Own which helped break icons such as The Chemical Brothers, Underworld and Xpress 2 amongst many others.
As Xpress 2, Terry and his partner Pete Heller created a unique sound of electronic soul that found favour in New York and was championed by legends such as Frankie Knuckles, Danny Tenaglia and Junior Vasquez. As Fire Island and Roach Motel, the due even had a couple of top 30 chart hits which led to him producing Kylie Minogue and remixing everyone from Michael Jackson, U2, New Order and Happy Mondays through to House Heroes such as Michael Watford, Robert Owens and Frankie Knuckles.

4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
10. The venue may operate a No Smoking Policy.
11. The promoter, venue management and DesignMyNight accept no responsibility for any personal property.
12. The event listed on the purchased ticket is strictly for ticket holders who are over 18 years of age. Identification may be required.
