Get creative with our Indian Block Printing Workshop, on Thursday 30th May from 9.30am - 1:00pm.
Explore the heritage craft of Block Printing using hand carved Indian woodblocks.
You will learn about the history of the craft and have a look at hand printed fabrics and traditionally carved blocks, before creating your own specially designed print on your own tote bag or tea towel using Clare's collection of over 100 blocks!
About Clare:
"I am a designer, maker, textile enthusiast and tutor living in the Cotswolds.
Combining my experience of teaching with a love of printed textiles I deliver a variety of workshops throughout the area using a varied collection of beautifully carved Indian woodblocks and teaching botanical printing using screen printing and dye sublimation. I am also happy to talk about and demonstrate these techniques to groups and societies.
I have a passion for colour and texture and my work is inspired by the gardens, trees and landscape of the area. I use local plants, leaves, flowers and herbs to print with using dye sublimation and screen printing, these techniques enable me to produce vibrant and unique designs."
Tickets are priced at £50pp to include the workshop activity & welcome pastries and drinks on arrival.
