Surry Hills Sakura: The Japanese Pop-Up With Neon Sushi, Pink Slushies & Pretty Cherry Blossoms

Cherry Bomb Goros Sydney Pop-Up | DesignMyNight

Spring has sprung in Surry Hills.

Our favourite Tokyo-styled dive bar? It's gone all-out for Sakura season.

Joining forces with Bombay Sapphire, the team at Goros are celebrating the cherry blossom festival with a sensory experience taking place across 6 weeks. From a Hello Kitty-themed bash on the 23rd April to  $15 sushi nights complete with pink-hued dishes, Cherry Bomb is a pop-up that's made for Instagram.

The place has been given a vibrant transformation, as pink lights, neon signs and - of course - towering blossom trees provide a glowing backdrop. As for the menu, think pink sushi rolls, mochi and pink burgers, alongside Bombay brambles and frozen cocktails.

Cherry Bomb is taking place until the 7th May at Goros, 84/86 Mary Street, Surry Hills, NSW 2010. For more quirky news, visit our blog and sign up to our upcoming Sydney newsletter here.
