Regardless of your skill set of being a novice or a cocktail Ninja, everyone is invited to take part. This competition is OPEN TO ANYONE CURRENTLY WORKING WITHIN THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY.
Please feel free to come and support your bartender on the night!
The competition has 3 rounds, You can compete in as many of the rounds as you like. To enter please email lizprimrose@beatone.co.uk to secure your place in each round.
Round 1 - Monkey Shoulder Cocktail Competiton
- Must include at least 50ml of Monkey Shoulder
- Can only include a maximum of 1 homemade ingredient
Round 2 - Twist on an Orginal
The clue is in the title - Take an orginal cocktail, for example a cuba libre (lime, rum & cocke), but add a twist - (lime, rum, cherry heering, chocolate bitters & coke).
- Must have the base of an orginal cocktail
- Must not be the exact same as an orginal cocktail
Round 3 - Mystery Ball Pit Round
*To enter this round you must be physically able to kneel down and scramble around in a ball pit*
On the balls there will be either a spirit, liqure, mixer, bitters, sours or sweets written on the balls. You will have 20 seconds to grab the balls you need. What you have at the end of the time is what you have to work with to create your cocktail.
- Time will be set aside for you to think what it is you will create for the judges
- You do not have to use all of the ingredients picked out of the ball pit
- You cannot steal or swap balls
- You can only use ingredients written on the balls choosen
- Do not fight, tackle scrap, scratch, bite or gouge each others eyes out
The winner for the Monkey Shoulder round will recieve a Monkey shoulder Konga Shaker
The winner for the Twist on an Orginal will win a £50 bar tab
The winner of the Mystery Ball Pit round will win a bottle (soon to be decided)

4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
10. The venue may operate a No Smoking Policy.
11. The promoter, venue management and DesignMyNight accept no responsibility for any personal property.
12. The event listed on the purchased ticket is strictly for ticket holders who are over 18 years of age. Identification may be required.
