Soak up the merriment at at the markets. Mulled wine anyone?

The long-awaited return of Nottingham Winter Wonderland is just around the corner. Many fan favourites are back, including the Sur La Piste alpine chalet and a range of fairground rides, alongside the ever popular ice rink. However, an exciting addition has been made this year - a brand new sky skate path which circles around the entire event. For even more exclusive sights, hop on the giant observation wheel which promises panoramic views of the city at Christmastime. 

There are several themed drinking dens to be discovered too. The all-glass Altitude provides some seasonal people-watching from a height, while the ice bar is filled with impressive sculptures and sub-zero refreshments. You can also grab a festive feast at many of the market stalls around the area, or why not get ahead on some of your Christmas shopping too? With everything from jewellery to artisan cheese on offer, you're bound to find some treasures here.
