- Michelin Star Restaurant
Description
Hidden behind an unassuming facade on Newcastle’s historic Quayside, Solstice is all about surprise and sophistication. There’s no menu handed to you when you arrive - just an open kitchen, a small, stylish dining room, and a team ready to take you on a seasonal journey. Every course is served and finished in front of you, with the chefs and restaurant manager sharing the story behind each dish.
The experience? A multi-course tasting menu that changes with the British seasons and the best produce available. Lunch runs around twelve to fifteen courses over two and a half hours, while dinner stretches to fifteen to eighteen courses over three and a half hours. Add a wine flight curated by Head Sommelier Conor Goulding, and you’ve got something truly special.
Solstice earned its Michelin Star just eight months after opening and now sits proudly at number 26 in the UK’s Top 100 National Restaurant Awards. It’s intimate, theatrical, and perfect for anyone chasing a next-level dining experience in Newcastle.
