WHAT IS PREBIOTIC FIBRE AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT FOR OVERALL GUT HEALTH?
WITH NUTRITIONIST MELANIE BULGER
If you are interested in finding out more about the role your gut bacteria takes within your body then this talk is for you. With the understanding for gut health on the rise and the role the gut plays in overall health and wellbeing Melanie will talk through how you can feed your good gut bacteria with prebiotic fibre.
Mel will also run through what prebiotic fibre is and why its important for your gut bacteria alongside the overall role that fibre plays in the body and how to get more of it. We’ll also be digging into FODMAP diets to understand the impact they can have on our gut bacteria.
Melanie is a Registered Nutritionist and after completing an MSc from the University of Reading has worked in the industry, largely focussing on gut health.
The Gut Stuff will be taking over Manchester Technology Center from Wednesday 20th February - Saturday 23rd, so make sure to come by anytime. To find out more about what else is going on, make sure to visit @thegutstuff on Instagram and our website thegutstuff.com.

The Gut Stuff was set up after twins Alana and Lisa (aka The Mac Twins, the Love Island DJs) became the “chief guinea pigs” for Professor Tim Spector and the Twin Research department at Kings College. They discovered that despite having 100% the same DNA, their guts have only 40% the same microbiota, which could explain why their bodies behave so differently.
