Steeped in history and brimming with faded Victorian charm, the top-dogs at Living Ventures barely thought twice about snapping up the site formerly occupied by Room Restaurant. They’ve got big plans for the Grand Pacific, with provisional plans to create a 100-cover restaurant serving Pan-Asian fare, a private dining space and a state-of-the-art DJ booth that will churn out the tunes at the weekends.

The fact that Living Ventures head Tim Bacon confessed to taking the site “via one text message” says a lot for the prestige of this coveted location. Dating back to 1871, it’s the site’s vintage artefacts that give it so much potential. The Living Ventures Group have announced plans to open no less than thirteen restaurants throughout the year; this one has everything in place to become the pick of the bunch.
