When somewhere so boldly brands itself as “the home of exotic cuisine and sophisticated sipping”, you know you’re in for one helluva treat. These are the claims of the Grand Pacific bar and restaurant in Manchester city centre which is gathering quite the following around its worldly flavours, notorious…
The Living Ventures Group don’t hang about. Within weeks of the renowned Room Restaurant closing its doors, Tim Bacon and Jeremy Roberts have swooped in to snap up this historic King Street site as part of their ambitious expansion plans throughout 2015.
The plan is to create a larger version of their existing Grand Pacific venue in Spinningfields, transforming this opulent 19th century space into a 100-cover restaurant supported by a large bar area and separate private dining room.
Happily affordable, Pan-Asian fare will be the staple, with Bacon’s team expected to devise a menu with a particular focus on sushi, fish and meat dishes. The venue will have a late licence too, and plans are in place to install a state-of-the-art DJ booth for some big tunes at the weekends.
