What they say:

One of Glasgow's best restaurants is opening up its first restaurant south of the border; Alston Bar & Beef are opening up in the Corn Exchange. The restaurant claims to serve the 'best steak and gin in Glasgow', as they source their meat from the top 1% in Scotland. It's not all steak and sauce, the restaurant is also serious about their gin, with the Glasgow venue serving 58 different varieties - something we can only hope is continued in Manchester.

What we say:

Taking over a spot in the Corn Exchange, we couldn't be happier that Alston Bar & Beef have chosen Manchester for their first English venue. The restaurant is serious about their steak as the meat is sourced from Scottish cows and then aged for 35 days to get the best flavour. Cuts include ribeye, sirloin and fillet as well as dishes such as mussels, monk fish and Parma ham, and roast chicken breast.
