Now Open

What they say:

Opening in Spring 2015, HOME will be the new, er, home of The Cornerhouse and the Library Theatre, who are merging to create one behemoth megacentre of arts and culture in Manchester. Incorporating bars, eateries, five cinema screens, a 500 seat theatre and galleries, HOME aims to redefine the contemporary arts centre, "creating a space where ideas, hopes and moments of wonder ricochet off walls and lodge themselves in the headspace of audiences old and new." Two exciting new cafe bars and a private events space will provide ample space for Manchester's arty types to met up and enjoy a range of food and drink in cultured surroundings.

What we say:

As one of our favourite bars in Manchester, we'll be sad to say goodbye to the existing Cornerhouse. But life moves on and HOME is where the heart is, so we're sure that the new venue will offer the same buzzing and inspiring atmosphere in which to enjoy lunch, dinner, a coffee with friends or a few evening drinks. With Gorilla and The Whim Wham Cafe along the road, the Whitworth Street area is fast becoming a favourite haunt for Manchester's creative communities - and this forward thinking arts hub can only serve to strengthen the area's reputation.
