After over a year MIA, we are delighted to announce that The Wall Street Mash, Manchester's first and original Electro Swing night, is returning to the Joshua Brooks basement!

We're keeping it (fairly) local for this long awaited WSM party. We've got fresh faced dj/production duo Jenova Collective coming over from Leeds to knock your dancing shoes off. These two, of have been taking the Electro Swing scene by storm despite having only been working together a short time, will be supported by two sterling Manchester DJs: Previous Illuminaughty/Lowdown & Dirty guest Emma Clair and Alex Cardwell, DJ purveyor of all things Electro Swing.

Established in 2011, The Wall Street Mash is Manchester's first and original Electro Swing night. Electro Swing is the irresistible hybrid genre which takes the sounds and styles of the 20s and 30s and modernises them for your dancefloor pleasure!
With a stunning collection of previous guests including Dutty Moonshine, OdjBox, Jamie Berry and Kiwistar, The Wall Street Mash promises a night of speakeasy era inspired debauchery. Don your most Gatsby of gladrags, bring your finest vintage dancemoves, and we'll bring the bass and the cheap liquor.

Fresh faces nestled in the swing scene, it's easy to forget that these two 90s kids have been collaborating for barely a year, and yet they have managed to stamp their bouncy, pumping sound in a host of major UK cities and festivals, even having played Berlin's biggest Electro Swing night! Previous tracks have fused swing with house, disco, latin and even drum & bass and 'Do The Strand' marks their entrance to ghetto swing. These two love to dance and Jenova Collective DJ sets are full of energy, topped to the brim with party edits and dancefloor fillers. They have shared the stage with the likes of Dutty Moonshine, Defunk, Max Pashm, Lamuzgueule, Jinx in Dub, Freear and Wolfie Razzmatazz to name a few! We're so excited to be getting this promising duo down, and we're sure that they're going to make you dance like we know you all can!

Emma Clair, a DJ truly inspired by the sounds of her home city, Manchester as well as nearby Leeds. Emma bought her first set of decks in 2006. Since then, she has gone on to to play for some of the biggest clubbing brands in the UK including Lowdown & Dirty, Insomniacz and Illuminaughty. She has warmed up the crowd for some of dance music's biggest DJs, including the Godfather of house, Marshall Jefferson, breakbeat heavyweights Plump DJs and our favourite cheeky pair Dutty Moonshine. Emma is a long time fan of the WSM, and we're delighted to be inviting her down to play for you lovely people.
- ALEX CARDWELL -
Alex is a RNCM student, DJ and general purveyor of Electro Swing. Showcasing some homegrown talent is very exciting for us here at the WSM and we know that Alex is going to be the perfect party starting warm up, setting the mood perfectly for the rest of the evening. Voted internationally as "Best Electro Swing DJ 2012," Wolfie serves his sounds fresh spinning a glorious mixed bag of genres around a kindred swing theme. Echoes of 1930s prohibition romps ring through phat future bass, vintage beats meet manic synths and the residues of where the party started in the juice joints of Harlem jump alive.
Honing his dancefloor filling skills at club nights such as White Mink London, Rumpus London, Vaudeville Rave Oxford and ESC London/Southend/Paris - not to mention countless UK and European festivals, Wolfie has experienced a vast diversity of events and knows exactly how to make a crowd tick.
