What they say:

From the mind of Southern Eleven owner James Hitchen comes Spinningfield's newest restaurant and bar concept. Neighbourhood is billed as a "New York style all-day eatery"; open at 8am daily serving breakfast, lunch and dinner to the hungry diners of Manchester. The food menu centres on their amazing cuts of steak and the bar specialises in providing perfectly mixed signature and classic cocktails. The restaurant covers 200 and as well as serving up pizza, pasta and perfect steaks (served with an array of sides and sauces) also has a unique 'raw bar' offering tasty morsels such as beef carpaccio and steak tartare.

James Hitchen the owner is renowned for placing importance in authenticity, so his take on a New York eatery means that only the best meals and ingredients will get anywhere near your table. He worked in a Tennessee BBQ joint for 2 months in order to prepare for Southern Eleven, so expect the food and drinks at Neighbourhood to be very very good.

What we say:

If you love steak, great cocktails and enjoying a spot of luxury, then Neighbourhood will be right up your alley. The interior decor is really fresh, with booths and tables being surrounded by smart and chic hanging lighting which gives Neighbourhood a cool and trendy feel. The menu is fairly small, but the steaks look pretty amazing, as do the Italian dishes and their unique feature the 'raw bar'; we've taken a particular shine to some of the appetizers which look like a flavourful way to start your meal, in particular the Lobster Tacos and the Chicken Lollipops.

Drinks-wise Neighbourhood also has a few unique tricks up its sleeve; as well as serving signature and classic cocktails, you can also get your hands on some of their 'on the block' drinks that come accompanied by some great little snack treats, designed to heighten and complement the flavours of the drinks, not a new concept by any means, but a great touch. Neighbourhood says that it is a "totally new dining experience" - big words, but take other people's word for it, get down to Neighbourhood and try it yourself.
