Manchester's New Bailey development has just gained a gorgeous new LA-inspired late-night spot, and it’s like totally awesome.

Part of the yoga studio and daytime cafe Foodwell, Firefly will see the light and airy space transform into a sleek bar as dusk falls, draping silky curtains over the floor-to-ceiling windows and decking out the venue with low-hanging botanicals and hundreds of firefly-like fairy lights.

Adding to Manchester’s ever-growing portfolio of luxe night-life spots, the bar will focus on spotlighting some of the city’s best DJs from its elevated booth area. A nod to the US state, the drinks menu will include cocktails such as the Glow Up (Tanqueray Gin, BarSol pisco and herb & earth shrub), kombucha-infused sips and a fully-stocked cellar of West Coast wines.

In terms of nosh, there’ll be a simple menu of LA-style sharing plates. Expect light bites of vegan gyoza, tempura prawn and tequila-infused pulled pork tacos - perfect for refuelling after taking to the tiles.
